Berish Strauch (1933-2023) Surgeon, author. Berish Strauch was born in the Bronx, New York, and died in Greenwich, Connecticut. He attended the Bronx High School of Science. Mr. Strauch was a longtime chief of reconstructive surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. He lived in Rye, New York.
Jay Clayton (1941-2023) Singer, author. Jay Clayton was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and died in New Paltz, New York. She moved to New York in 1963. Ms. Clayton taught at City College of New York and at The New School. She also ran a retreat for singers in Berne, New York.
Bud Harrelson (1944-2024) Professional baseball player, memoirist. Bud Harrelson was born in Niles, California, and died in East Northport, New York.
Edward Jay Epstein (1935-2024) Author. Edward Jay Epstein was born in Brooklyn, New York, and died in Manhattan, New York. As a child, he lived in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn and attended Midwood High School. He also lived in Rockville Centre, in Nassau County, New York, , and graduated from South Side High School.
