Jay Clayton (1941-2023) Singer, author. Jay Clayton was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and died in New Paltz, New York. She moved to New York in 1963. Ms. Clayton taught at City College of New York and at The New School. She also ran a retreat for singers in Berne, New York.
