Vassar College was the alma mater of many poets and writers, including Elizabeth Bishop, Mary McCarthy, Eleanor Clark, Muriel Rukeyser, Edna St. Vincent Millay, and the poet/librarian Marianne Moore.
The Millay Colony for the Arts, Austerlitz, New York, was Edna St. Vincent Millay’s home; it is now an artists’ colony and retreat.
