The Primary Stages School of Theater is an interdisciplinary institution where students may hone their skills and develop their careers in a nurturing and collaborative environment. The School provides extensive opportunities for emerging artists, professionals, and life-long learners to collaborate with working professional artists while building strong relationships within the New York theater community. Playwriting students learn what it takes to get their ideas on paper. They also focus on their specialties, from developing the framework of a musical libretto to exploring site-specific and audience-interactive pieces. Our classes will let you experiment in a safe, structured environment!
