Horace Greeley Statue, City Hall Park, near Chambers and Centre Streets, is named after the publisher of the New York Tribune, publisher of Charles A. Dana, Charles Dickens, Margaret Fuller, William Dean Howells, Henry James, Karl Marx, Edgar Allan Poe, and Carl Schurz. Another newspaper in the area published Walt Whitman (The Aurora).
