The Center for Independent Publishing at the General Society of Mechanics & Tradesmen is tucked away in a corner office of a landmark library, in the heart of what might be called “Literary Row.” To provide information and draw public awareness to the offerings of the many small presses in the U.S., the Center for Independent Publishing has been hard at work since 1984.
