“Through the front door, a small coffee shop serving great coffee and Yonah Shimmel Knish Noshes. Clothespinned to the clothesline above the cash register are homemade chapbooks–under the counter are spoken word CDs–Poetry Served Here. Behind the curtain, a performance space that seats over 100, a state-of-the-art sound system with digital recording and cybercast facilities and a full bar.” A permanent home for poetry events in New York City on the Bowery. Bowery Poetry Club hosts poetry readings and a multitude of poetry events.
