Liam Rector

(1949-2007) Poet. Ronald Edward Rector was born in Washington, District of Columbia, in 1949, and died in Manhattan, New York, in 2007. Rector had taught at several colleges, including, Columbia University, New School University, and Emerson College.

Jack Raymond

(1918-2007) Reporter, writer. Jack Raymond was a reporter and editor for Stars and Stripes during World War II, and was awarded a Bronze Star for valor and a Purple Heart. He also reported for The New York Times.

Henry Roth

(1906-1995) Writer. Henry Roth was born in Galicia, Austro-Hungary in 1906 and died in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1995.

William Stanley Rubin

(1927-2006) Art historian. William Rubin was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1927. He was an art historian and director of the department of painting and sculpture at New York’s Museum of Modern Art. He died in Pound Ridge, New York in 2006.

(1927-2006) Art historian. Robert Rosenblum was born in New York City and died in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York in 2006. He taught at New York Universtiy and also served as a curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
