(1922-2006) Editor. A. M. Rosenthal was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and died in Manhattan, New York. He was managing editor of the New York Times from 1969 to 1977.

(1934-2014) Author. Peter Rona was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and died in Plainsboro, New Jersey. He did research on oceanographic gear at Columbia University.

(1946-2014) Poet, art critic. Rene Ricard was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and died in Manhattan, New York.
