Elmira College has preserved Mark Twain’s octagonal study, including his round desk, various chairs, and typewriter.
Quarry Farm, on the outskirts of Elmira, was the summer home to Mark Twain and his family during the 1870s and 1880s. Quarry Farm has received the official designation as a New York State Literary Landmark.
