- William Witworth (1937-2024) Writer, editor, journalist. William Witworth was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and died in Conway, Arkansas. He was a writer for The Arkansas Gazette, The New York Herald Tribune, The New Yorker and, later, the editor in chief of The Atlantic Monthly.
