(1939-2021) Poet. Stephen Dunn was born in Queens, New York, and died in Frostburg, Maryland. He graduated from Forest Hills High School in Queens, New York, earned a bachelor’s degree in history at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, and a master’s at Syracuse University. Mr. Dunn was a winner of the Pulitzer Prize for his collection of poetry, “Different Hours” in 2001.
