(1938-2015) Novelist, poet, essayist, children’s book author. Rosario Ferre was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and died in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was a graduate of Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York. She wrote novels in both Spanish and English.
