(1897-1966) Typographer, author. Paul A. Bennett was director of typography for the Mergenthaler Linotype Company in Brooklyn, New York. He was the founder and secretary of the Typophiles Society in New York City. He wrote for several periodicals, including the American Printer, Colophon, Linotype News, Penrose Annual, Printing, and Publishers’ Weekly. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and died in Queens, New York.
