(1923-2012) Biographer. Norman Fruman was born in the Bronx, New York, and died in Laguna Beach, California. He attended Townsend Harris Hall and City College of New York in New York City, and earned his bachelor’s degree at City College, a master’s in English at Columbia Teachers College, and a Ph.D. in English from New York University.
