(1823-1886) Editor, writer, author of over 400 “dime” novels. Ned Buntline was also known as Edward Zane Carroll Judson. He was born in Stamford, New York. In 1872, he persuaded W. F. Cody (Buffalo Bill) to act in his play “The Scouts of the Plains,” which started Cody on his stage career.
