General Information

Bio

I was born in the French Quarter of New Orleans and grew up in east Texas and the deserts of southwestern Iran before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and the Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Syracuse University. I have seen nine poetry collections into print (most recently RIVER TIME, winner of the 2014 Wells College Chapbook Competition, and BONE-SONGS AND SANCTUARIES, NEW AND SELECTED POEMS, The Sheep Meadow Press, 2009), and have had poems in such periodicals as THE GEORGIA REVIEW, THE SEWANEE REVIEW, THE SOUTHERN REVIEW and TAR RIVER POETRY REVIEW.
