Bio

Lucyna Prostko was born in Poland. She graduated from the M.F.A. program at New York University, where she was awarded the New York Times Fellowship. Her poetry has appeared in various literary journals, including Fugue, Washington Square, Painted Bride Quarterly, Quiddity, Ellipsis, Salamander, Cutthroat and Five Points. Her first book of poems Infinite Beginnings, published in June 2009, was judged winner of the 2007 Bright Hill Press Poetry Book Competition by Joan Larkin. She currently teaches at Queensbury High School and pursues Ph.D. in English at SUNY Albany.
