Bio

(1735-1826) The second president of the United States. John Adams, who was also an eloquent political philosopher, wrote a number of essays, including his “A Dissertation on the Canon and Feudal Laws (1765), and he also kept a journal throughout his life. In 1797, while avoiding the yellow fever epidemic in Philadelphia, Adams lived at his daughter’s home in the Bronx, New York.
