Fiction writer, essayist, and prose poet, Jessica Treat’s most recent book is Not a Chance (FC2, 2000), a novella and collection of stories. Her first book, A Robber in the House, a collection of short-short stories, was published by Coffee House Press in 1993. “There is a joy in reading [A Robber in the House], the joy of experiencing superb writing by an artist who builds suspense and tension word by word,” wrote Ravina Gelfand in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
