Bio
(1917-2006) Critic. Henry Hewes was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a Columbia University graduate and had worked for the New York Times before joining the Saturday Review in 1951. He was a theater critic for the Saturday Review and founder of The American Theatre Critics Association. He died in 2007 in New York, New York.
