(1933-2023) Master woodcarver, memoirist. Gerry Holzman was born in the Bronx, New York, and died in Brunswick, Maine. He was known as the head carver and fund-raiser of the Empire State Carousel, now housed at the Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown, New York.
