(1843-1913) Editor, poet. Francis Fisher Browne was born in South Halifax, Vermont, and died in California. He studied law in Rochester, New York. He edited the “Lakeside Monthly” (Chicago) from 1869 until 1874, “The Alliance” from 1878 until 1879, and “The Dial” from 1880 until 1913.
