(1888-1958) Poet, writer. Born and educated in Chicago, he taught in the South and began writing poetry before moving to New York City to write and study journalism at Columbia University. He wrote for the Eastern Press Association and for the New York News. He self-published books of poetry: “Visions of the Dusk” (1915) and “Songs of the Soil” (1916).
