Bio
(1908-2006) Writer. Ernestine Gilbreth Carey was born in 1908 and died in Fresno, California in 2006. She, with her brother, Frank, co-wrote “Cheaper by the Dozen” (1948), and “Belles on Their Toes” (1952). She also wrote, “Jumping Jupiter,” “Rings Around Us,” and “Giddy Moment.” Carey worked as a department-store buyer in New York City for several years.
