Bio
(1899-1985) Poet, editor, writer, novelist, essayist, writer of childrens books. E. B. White wrote “The Talk of the Town” column for the early New Yorker, several books of verse, revised “Elements of Style” (1959) by William Strunk, Jr., and such childrens books as “Stuart Little” (1945) and “Charlottes Web” (1952). He lived on East 48th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Manhattan, New York.
