(1893-1961) Writer, journalist. Dorothy Thompson was born in Lancaster, New York. She was a journalist for the “New York Herald Tribune,” graduated from Syracuse University in 1914, and returned for study in 1937. The University has a collection of her papers. She lived on East 48th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Manhattan, New York.
