Bio

(1910-2012) Poet. Dorothea Tanning was born in Galesburg, Illinois, and died in Manhattan, New York. Best known as a surrealist painter, Ms. Tanning also was a writer with some of her work appearing in The New Yorker, The Yale Review, The Paris Review, Poetry, The Boston Review, The Southwest Review, Parnassus, and in Best Poems of 2002 and 2005.
