(1928-2007) Writer. Daniel Stern was born in Manhattan, New York. He lived in Manhattan and the Bronx as a child. He had a home in Sag Harbor, New York. In addition to writing short stories and novels, Mr. Stern was a musician. Mr. Stern died in Houston, Texas, where he was Professor of English at the University of Houston.
