(1911-2004) Poet. Czeslaw Milosz was born in Szetejnie, Lithuania in 1911 and died in Krakow, Poland in 2004. He was a professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of California, Berkeley, and a winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1980.
