(1923-2012) Writer. Al Gordon was born in Akron, Ohio, and died in Los Angeles, California. He was an Emmy Award-winning comedy writer. Mr. Gordon wrote for the Eddie Cantor radio show, “The Jack Benny Program,” “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,” “The Flip Wilson Show,” and “The Carol Burnett Show.” He also wrote for the sitcoms, “That’s My Mama,” “Carter Country,” and “Three’s Company.”
