(1916-2011) Writer. Sherwood Schwartz was born in Passaic, New Jersey, and died in Los Angeles, California. He was the creator of the television sitcoms, “Gilligan’s Island” and “The Brady Bunch,” and he wrote the theme songs for each of the shows. Mr. Schwartz was a writer for “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,” when it was on the radio. He was a writer for “I Married Joan” and “The Red Skelton Show” on television. He also wrote for Bob Hope’s radio show and for Armed Forces Radio.
