(1925-2005) Writer, publisher. Emile Capouya was born in New York City in 1925 and grew up in Manhattan and the Bronx. He was literary editor of The Nation from 1969 to 1977 and a literature teacher at The Juilliard School, The New School, Bard College, and CUNY Baruch. Mr. Capouya died in the Town of Meredith, Delaware County, New York in 2005.
