Chapbook. Praise for A Language Full of Wars and Songs: James Ragan, Hunger Wall: "(Levine) sings a polished tune, at times elegaic or with light playfulness, but always with intelligence flaming in it." Rhina Espaillat, Rehearsing Absence: "...these poems reach the heart immediately and refuse to leave or be still afterward..." Kim Stafford, Early Mornings: "(These) poems amaze me. I feel the air stutter, see the "rain turn to rice", feel the abrupt distillation down to "the father I am today." Thank you for this book. North American Review--these poems live "...on the edge, at the verge, the cusp, the margins of light's reach, trusting that as we sleep, all night, the lantern on the table sings." Etc...
