(1882-1945) Writer. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the 32nd President of the United States (1933-1945). He was born in Hyde Park, New York. Aside from his four volumes of letters (1947-1950), and the thirteen volumes of his public papers and addresses (1938-50), he also wrote “Whither Bound?,” “The Happy Warrior,” “Looking Forward,” and “On Our Way.”
