Description
Founded in 1997 and now happily ensconced in an 1830s row house in the East Village, my shop offers out-of-print and antiquarian books on food, drink, etiquette, and housekeeping.
There’s plenty of food writing as well as recipe collections, plus children’s cookbooks and books with a focus on the New York City culinary scene. Complementing the books are vintage linens, tabletop items, kitchen utensils, and lots of culinary ephemera. My hours are generally 1-7 pm, 6 days a week, but please check my website or voicemail for the current week’s hours. I’m also happy to meet you in the shop by appointment if my hours don’t work for your schedule. There’s a lovely back garden where on weekdays you can sit and peruse your books. Books purchased by appointment only.
