Adirondack Center For Writing
General Information
Description
The Adirondack Center For Writing (ACW) is a resource and educational organization providing support to writers and enhancing literary activity and communication throughout the twelve-county Adirondack Park. ACW benefits both emerging and established writers as well as develops literary audiences. ACW is based at Paul Smith’s College, but we are committed to offering programs that are held throughout the six-million-acre park. The Adirondack Center for Writing is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts and a strong member base. ACW offers the following types of programs:
-Writing workshops for all writing levels held throughout the region
-Writing conferences designed to provide writers with both creative and technical skills
-readings that showcase regional writers as well as authors of national acclaim
We also run a very successful prison writing program and host a two-day writing retreat for high school students.
